Subtotal should be the Pre-Tax, Pre-Shipping, and Post-Discount amount. Documentation. It is not advised to include tax and shipping costs, as these costs are not refunded. For example, if the cart size is $200 and the customer applies a $20 discount, the $180 purchase subtotal should be passed to Talkable excluding taxes and shipping.

Note: For Shopify e-commerce users, categorized details of the sale can be passed to Talkable. Talkable will receive the final subtotal value and will have it split into categories. Documentation (see step 10).

  2. Additional expenses/savings:

  • Shipping cost

  • Taxes

  • Discount amount

        3. Final subtotal = (Subtotal + Additional expensed (shipping + taxes + discount)
