Advocate’s User Flow:

  1. Advocate signs up in the referral campaign on mobile or tablet.

  2. Advocate clicks the “Add a video to your referral” button.

  3. Advocate sees a request to provide access to the microphone and camera.

  4. Advocate records or uploads a video.

  5. Advocate either confirms to attach the video or starts over.

  6. When confirmed, each sharing channel now has an embedded video.

  7. If Advocate removes the video from the Share Page or the Email Form, the video disappears from all channels of the current offer. But the shares that were sent before will keep this video. 


Friend’s User Flow:

  1. Friend receives a referral link with the embedded video via:

  • Share Email: user will see a clickable GIF of the video in the email

  • iMessage: user will see an autoplay of the video

  • Android SMS: user will see a static video thumbnail with the play button 

  • Facebook Messenger: user will see a static image of the video

  • Facebook Wall Post: user will see a static image of the video

  • Native Sharing: 

    • in the apps that support autoplay - the user will see autoplay

    • In the apps that support images - the user will see a static image of the video

    • in the rest of the apps - the user will see plain text

  1. Friend clicks on the referral link and visits Friend Claim Page on:

    • Desktop: user will see a static image. Friends should click on Play to check the video.

    • Mobile / Tablet: user will see small-sized autoplay muted video. The friend should click on Play in order to check the video in full-screen with the sound. Video is displayed on all presets of the Friend Claim Page
